Wasim began his coaching career as a Learn To Swim Instructor in 2009. He then moved onto coaching competitive swim squads in 2011, with many of his swimmers participating in South African Provincial and National Competitions.

In 2011, he founded Pool Academy in South Africa, which currently boasts four branches in South Africa.

Pool Academy Aquatics in South Africa has over 2000 swimmers passing through it's doors each year.

Wasim has worked in positions such as Assistant Coach, Head Coach and Aquatics Director in South Africa and as Squad Coach and Head Coach in Dubai.

His 10 year experience in the industry speaks volumes, along with the following qualifications:

- Swimming South Africa (SSA) Learn To Swim Instructor Certificate
- Swimming South Africa (SSA) Coaching Level 1 Diploma
- Swimming South Africa (SSA) Facilitator Diploma

Charlotte began her coaching career in 2013 as a Swim Teacher and PE Assistant, at a Secondary School in Hartlepool, England. She then moved to Turkey in 2015, to further her career as a Swim Teacher, where she was exposed to a variety of cultures and ample experiences to add to her resume.


The mountains were calling in 2016 and Charlotte moved to Bulgaria to take on the position of Head Ski Representative. She always had a passion for swimming so in 2017, she decided to move to Dubai to pursue her career as a Swim Coach.

Showing great commitment, passion and managerial skills, Charlotte took on the role as the Group's Chief Operating Officer with Pool Academy Aquatics in South Africa, in 2017.


She was able to shift the dynamics from Pool Academy's old operational model and created an effective model that made Pool Academy Aquatics - a force to be reckoned with.

Charlotte's 7 year experience in the industry highlights her knowledge about British Swimming, along with her qualifications:

- Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) Level 1 Award in Teaching Aquatics
- Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) Level 2 Award in Teaching Aquatics

Farzana began her career as a Creditors Clerk and later moved into the Whole Grain/ Spice Industry - focusing in Sales, of which she spent 14 years in.

She equipped herself in learning many skills such as customer service, quality assurance, purchasing, administration and management.

She decided to shift her career path to the Automotive Industry, of which she successfully completed 9 years.

Farzana decided to join the our board in 2017 as Director General Secretary.

Her portfolio currently manages all of South African branches and staff - with securing new venues and projects.

Her experience and expertise speaks volumes, coupled with the following certifications:

Zaaher is quick and eager to learn; a proactive creative thinker who enjoys diverse work environments with an inclination to work autonomously or as part of a team.

He is also committed to achieving outstanding results with experience in dealing with a demanding workload and the ability to meet stringent deadlines.

He graduated from Durban Institute of Technology (DIT now known as DUT) in 2000 and has been in the Information and Communications Technology Industry for the last 20+ Years.

Zaaher first got involved with Pool Academy in 2013 - at the time doing branch visits between Westville and Chatsworth.

He later was offered a position on the Executive Board - as Honorary Treasurer, which he took up with ease, ever since.
